Natco Alubia Beans, also commonly referred to as haricot beans or “white Rajma” due to their kidney-like shape, are wholesome, multi-purpose legumes widely used across Indian, Mediterranean, and traditional Western cuisines. These dry beans are naturally rich in plant-based protein and dietary fiber, while remaining exceptionally low in fat.
Because of their neutral, mild flavor profile, they excel at absorbing rich spices, herbs, and savory broths beautifully. When properly soaked and cooked, they maintain their structure while yielding a soft, velvety texture. This makes them an ideal choice for thickening and adding substance to hearty vegetable stews, soups, homemade baked beans, salads, and classic Northern Indian curries.
Important Cooking & Safety Notice:
-
- These dried beans must be soaked in water for 12 hours, rinsed, and boiled rapidly for at least 10–15 minutes before simmering.
- Do not eat them raw.
